Noiseware Community Edition Standalone 2.6 Download
Noiseware Community Edition is a free photo noise remover that uses a sophisticated yet fast noise filtering algorithm. There are a set of numerous noise filters that you can freely select to easily remove noise according to your preferences. If none of the pre-defined filters provides a satisfying result, then you can pick the one that closest to your liking and adjust it by using the slidebars.
The noise filters include default, night scene, landscape, film grain effect and some others. Unfortunately, this free version doesn’t allow you to tweak and save custom filters. Only the professional edition that provides such a feature.
The image formats supported include JPEG, PNG, BMP, and TIFF (24 and 48 bpp). However, you can only save your edited photos in JPEG format if you use this free version. Noiseware Community Edition is a freeware that works under Windows XP/Vista.

JPEG Lossless Rotator Download
While photo or image editors are commonly equipped with image rotation feature, most of them recode photo in the rotating process, resulting a slight decrease in photo’s quality. Instead of recoding photo, JPEG Lossless Rotator rotates jpeg photo by performing a special lossless block transformation that doesn’t degrade the quality of the rotated photo.
Rotating JPEG images or photos can be performed through the main window of the application. The shell integration feature allows you to rotate photo directly from Windows explorer, but you’ll have to activate this option during the installation. You can rotate as many photos as you wish.

Note that this application overwrites your original photos. You’d better make a copy of the originals before rotating if you want to have both the rotated and original photos.

Jpeg-crop Windows Application Download
Every photo editor you know probably has already been equipped with a photo cutter feature. Still, most of the cutters commonly harm the quality of the photos they cut. In other words, these cutters, that you usually find in a photo editor, do not let you have the original quality when you cut a photo. If you want to cut photo without quality loss, you should take and put Jpegcrop into your photo application list.
To cut a photo losslessly, simply open a JPEG image, drag a selection for the area that you want to cut, right-click within the area and select “Save Frame As”. Additionally, the application also lets you losslessly flip, rotate and transpose JPEG pictures. The obvious drawback from this tool, unfortunately, is that it cannot cut photos in batch. If you want to cut several photos, you’ll need to open and process them one by one. Still, it is a nifty, simple application that you should use if you want to losslessly cut your photos.

If you accidentally delete some photos, or Windows cannot read your card because it’s corrupted, it can help you get back the photos. It can even recover images from a formatted card.
Digital Photo Recovery 3 is a portable application and the usage is pretty easy to use. Recovers JPG, TIF and most of RAW files. It can also read read damaged floppys, CDs and DVDs, but keep in mind that it isn’t optimized for reading from these storage devices.
The RAW file formats that are supported include JPG, TIF, DNG, Canon CR2, Konica-Minolta MRW, Nikon NEF, Olympus ORF, Pentax PEF, Sony ARW, SRF and SR2.
There are other RAW file formats that can be recovered though not fully supported, but will probably result in incorrect extension (saved as TIF).

There are numerous solutions available if you need to find a solution to reduce the resolution of your images. They are available both as software and online services. On the other hand, if you need to enlarge a low resolution image instead, it could be hard to find a reliable application as enlarging image isn’t as easy as reducing image resolution. Hence, I intend to create an updated list of image enlarger applications here. Let’s start it with this one.
SmillaEnlarger is a portable image enlarger application for Windows that has been mentioned wildly by various tech blogs. The enlarged and original image are displayed side-by-side. You can pick which area of the image that you want to enlarge by dragging the zoomed area to the position. You can also enlarge the zoomed area if you want to enlarge a larger area by manually entering a new width and height value or moving the zoom slider.
Five additional tools are available to fine tune the image you enlarge: Sharpness, Flatness, PreSharpen, Dithering, DeNoise. Click “Preview” to view how the enlarged image will look like and click “Calculate” to start the enlargement process.
I will add another image enlarger here once I find one. Some of them will be free like Smilla Enlarger and some are shareware.
