How to eject CD/DVD drive if CD is struck ?
The issue is not new, no solved yet, happens with every CD/DVD drive. I have 3 DVD drives and all of them having the issue. Eject button doesn’t work after some months of use. Here is a method to open CD/DVD drive door if it is struck.
First, let take out the CD then we will go into reasons and permanent solutions.
Every CD/DVD drive is provided an emergency eject hole (as they know CD will struck one day in its life). The hole is shown in below image.
CD-ROM Cleaning Tips
If your CD drive creating problem to read CD disc, taking time to read and showing message there is no disc in the drive. These are the symptoms of dirty or weak CD-drive lens, because dirty lens can create errors in reading or writing and soon will not work at all.
Follow the given steps to care and clean a CD-Drive.
• First make sure your discs are clean, unscratched and you’re loaded it properly.
• Always use laser lens cleaner to clean drive lens.

Increase Pen drive speed
The speed of USB flash drive or pen drive can be increased more than two times by the following simple methods.Note that transfer rate is also depend upon the capacity of your usb pendrive and the brand.
Tips to increase usb flash drive speed :
1. Connect your pen drive to pc via USB
2. Open my computer then right click on the the drive letter of your pen drive, click properties.
Change A Cmos Battery
this is only for people who have opened their computer case and have worked inside the computer other people please dont try to do this as it is dangerous and if done wrong can endanger lifes.
Points to keep in mind before you open the case:
* Make sure the power is off
* There are sharp edges and all so be carefull
* Do not remove unnecessary plugs and all-they will have big effect on the computer
* Do not damage anything inside the case
When is it time to change your cmos battery:
* 1your clock starts running slowly
* when you boot (start) your computer it has a problem finding your hardware (no hard drive, no cd rom)
To change the battery you need the following tools:-
* a X-point screwdriver
* an anti-static strap
* a new battery (without it what are you changing)
** unplug all the cables from the back of the computer as you remove them make a note where they came from. (always rember where the plugs goes back)
If you have important documents ;-) and you are afraid about its privacy then do not be worried because windows XP provides (not officially) a utility by which u can hide your PC’s one or more drives....
1. Go to Start > run > type diskpart.
A dos window will appear with following.
DISKPART>
2. Then type list volume
This will look like it
Volume### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info etc in a row and details beneath.
Volume 0 F DC-ROM
Volume 1 C NTFS Partition 7000MB Healthy
Volume 2 D soft NTFS Partition 8000MB Healthy
Volume 3 E —- NTFS Partition 8000MB Healthy
3. If u wanna hide drive E then type select volume 3 and hit enter.
Then a message will appear in same winwods {Volume 3 is the selected volume}
4. Now type remove letter E
A message will come {Diskpart Removed the Drive letter}
Sometime it requires the reboot the computer. And your E drive is vanished from sight.....
Diskpart will remove the letter. Windows XP is not having capabilty to identify the unkown volume.
Now Do not be afraid. Your data will ramain safe.
To revert changes, repeat the process . but in 4th step replace “remove” with “assign”
I mean type “assign letter E”
Your drive will reappear again.

12. MOTHER BOARD HANGS DUE TO UNSTABILIZED POWER SUPPLY
a. Check S.M.P.S
b. RAM not functioning properly.
c. Software problem (due to using pirated software)
d. CPU fan not functioning properly.
13. DANCING SCREEN
a. Check Display card connection
b. Virus Problem
c. Video Memory Problem
14. SHAKING SCREEN
a. Earthing problem
b. Magnetic waves comes around.
15. CPU CABINET SHOCK
a. Check Earthing
b. Check main power cord.
16. NON-SYSTEM DISK ERROR
a. Floppy Drive having different disk (Non-Bootable Disk) OR CMOS Parameters for Hard Disk may not be set properly.
b. Hard Disk Partitions may not be created.
c. Hard Disk may not be formatted.
17. MISSING OPERATING SYSTEM
The System files missing namely Ie; command.com} - User File IO.SYS & MS_DOS.SYS } - Hidden Files. These above three files required for Start up of the system that can be transferred by using SYS C: Command OR While the time of formatting by using Format c:/u/s
18. MISSING COMMAND INTERPRETOR
May the file Command.com is corrupted OR Infected by Virus OR Some one has Erased it.
19. SHOWING I/O ERROR
a. The type of Hard Disk in CMOS may not be set properly.
b. Operating system used for formatting is not valid
20. SHOWING DIVIDE OVER- FLOW MESSAGE
a. May some Directories or Files crash with other files.
b. Use CHKDSK/F or SCANDISK Command to correct it.

DVDIdle saves DVD data which will be played soon onto the hard disk cache or RAM cache, and
then feeds it to DVD player.
This allows the DVD drive to rest.
For example:
a 6X-speed DVD drive will only work for 15 minutes when you are watching a 90 minutes DVD
movie.

2. Checking the Bios System.
3. Checking the CMOS Configuration.
4. Initializing the Timer.
5. Initializing the DMA Controller.
6. Checking the Ram and Cache Memory.
7. Installing BIOS Functions.
8. Checking Other Configuration.
If Anything Above Fails the Bios Sends an Error Message to the Display Device(Only if the Display device is Initialized before get the error) or Starts a sequence of Beeps which tells the Source of Error or Sends an Error Code to the System's Serial Port.

You have to enter the password to be able to access it, if you can’t provide the correct one the access gets denied. The following method describes a way to recover the password if you forgot it or bought a used computer with a bios password.CmosPwd is a free program that is able to display information about the bios once it is executed.
You do need to create a bootable disk to be able to execute the program in dos mode. To create a bootable disk in windows right-click the disk drive and select format from the list of options. It is important that you enable the option Create an MS-DOS startup disk.Once the disk is created copy the contents from the dos folder of cmos pwd to the disk and restart the computer.
You will have to remove all hard drives from the system if you do not automatically boot from disk drive. Type cmospwd.exe in the command line and the password should appear. Ignore the information about the other bios manufacturers and take a look at the one your computer is using.Another possible method would be to start the computer in safe mode with command prompt which could work as well. You still need to access the files somewhere so make sure that the hard drive is accessible.

Fixing Hard Disk Errors
Hard disk error occurs mainly due to improper shutdown.Its also one of the main reason which makes windows to take long time to load.
Goto Start –> Run.
Type CMD and hit enter.
Type chkdsk and hit enter.
It Check disk command checks error in HDD and fixes it.
Now fix errors in other drives. D,E,F,G,H,….
Type CHKDSK /F for drives other than C and fix HDD error.
